lots of questions:
when you had that big of a lift, did you find it hard to get in and out of your truck? Is it safe going that big? And how was the gas mileage? where did you get you super swampers?

Hey Ryan I didnt have any problems getting in and out but my wife and 2 children did as they are all shorter than me (6 ft.)it wasnt that bad though.As far as being safe , I felt safer than I do now because I could see farther ahead of me and other traffic , so I could tell when someone 5-10 cars in front of me were jamming on there brakes I didnt have to.I thought I got really bad gas milage until I bought my new truck , now I find its about the same 11-13 mpg. My old truck had the 5.2 with k&n filtercharger kit and dynomax exhaust, new one has the 4.7 all stock now.Most of my driving is the same route everyday so thats how I figure theyre about the same (new truck has the overhead console that tells me my milage OUCH! dont know if thats good or bad). Got my swampers at my local tire store cheaper than adv. in the mags. plus no shipping charges although did have to pay taxes. Let me know if you have any more questions,by the way sorry this is sooo long.

was tipping over a concern for you?
If I did do some off-roading, how do you think it would handle because some say that an axle would break. The off roading would be easy and nothing too big. wht did you sell it! it sounds like a beast!!

i would trucks lifted too high are bad for the offroad only because they tip and rock side to side so easy, i live at my ranch and when we were in a friends z71 that had a 6 inch supension with a 3 inch body he couldn't do much on roads that were not flat.....i was in my dak stock lift getting through and out of everything easier than his bigole truck......

I never feared tipping over because you have to know the trucks limitations. Of course I never would have went rock crawling with it (even if there was a place to go here in flat FL). Like I said most (95%)of my driving was street driven. I know I know some of you may think I`m a wuss because I didnt beat the crap out of it ,by going through the biggest mud hole, or whatever, but thats not why I built it. It was too nice and I had too much $ invested in it anyway. Also , as you GO BIG you must also GO WIDE to compensate for your added height thats why I also had 12 in. wide billet specialities rims with diff. offset on my truck , it felt more stable on road after the mods than before. Dont know if it was , never had to test it , thank god. One last comment there are always going to be places a stock truck will perform better than a modified one and vice-versa, Im sure my current QC AWD with street tires wouldnt get me as far as my old one would have in the mud , we have here in FL. but I dont care, I cant see getting thet stinking mud all over my 25k+ truck anyway , just MY opinion as I would be the one that would have to clean it up!
