Message: Nice pics. The only thing I don't like about the lift is the bracket that drops the lower a-arm. It doesn't look all that heavy.

Message: Is that the Thruckin Suspension? It looks like the truck pictured on their WEB site. If it is which one is it the 4.5 6.5 or the 9.5, and what tire size is that?

Message: I think the kit should come with some extended brake hoses, I don't like how the bracket that used to attach to the upper a-arm just hangs waiting for something to snag it. Also, in one of rear suspension shots, it looks like there is no lift blocks used but instead some serious drop down shackles? Personally, I would rather use a little of both to keep the rear end more stable. The front skid plate looks pretty cool, but with the body lift I don't think it will:( I can't wait for knobby to get his in so we can get the full scoup!!!!! I just ordered an Altimeter for my dash in preparation for the new lift:)

Message: LOL Altimiter ahh.. it's not going to be THAT much taller.
Actually
2THEXTRM shackles are better the problem w/ blocks is that they torque your rear end (kind of like this girl I saw at the mall the other weekend anyway...) They usually aren't strong enough to justify the use. Shackles are definatelly a better way to go. I just wish that we had a add-a-leaf we could have used instead.

Message: Actually, 2thextrm if you are that worried about the rear end, just take some measurements, or better yet take your truck up to Fulton Spring or Allied sprind and have them make you a new set of rear springs. I had fulton spring make me a custom set of front and rear springs for a fullsize bronco a couple years ago. added 4" total all around.

Message: Dave, I got my custom u-bolts at Fulton Spring a couple months back when I installed the rear block lift. Custom springs would probably run at least $200-300 and the ride would suffer badly, there is no weight in the ass end of my truck and it can get a little squirrley over some bumps with the 33's. The shackles should work OK anyway, if not maybe springs will come later.
Knobby, I have not had any problems at all with axle wrap. They did not change the characteristics of my rear end(my truck's) even under WOT from dead stop, I would think that 3-4" of drop shackles would though. I guess you'll find out soon enough:)
Ian sent me the lift kit install instructions last weekend and I went over them, doesn't look to bad but I would like to see some better close-ups of the front end parts installed so I can get an idea of how everything goes on before I start... Ohhhhh Knobbyman...:)
