Subject: 32x11.5x16 IP: Logged
Message: I know the answers probably NO, but, can I put 32x11.5's on a 16'' rim?
If I have to buy 15'' wheels then what brand is the best quality for price? Where is the best place to buy them.
To me the Tire is more important than the rims.
I just want the tires to work.
Thanks Guys

Message: Just adding to my first question.........
Is a 285-75-16 equal to a 32x11.5x15? Only difference being a 16'' rim instead of a 15'' rim?
Thanks again!

Message: If you go to the tire manufactures website ... www.goodyear.com or who ever. Look up the tire you want and then look @ the sizing. It will tell you the actual size of the tires then you can look up the size that works best for you.

Message: Here's how you calculate tire sizes into inches......
285x75x16 or (A)x(B)x(C)
where (A) is the metric width of the tire
and (B) is the ratio of the sidewall to the width
and (C) is the rim size.
Width of tire in inches = (A)/25.4
Total Diameter of tire = (A)*(B)*.02/25.4 + (C)
So for 285x75x16:
Width of tire in inches = 285/25.4 = 11.22 (about 11.5)
Total Diameter of tire = 285*75*.02/25.4 + 16 = 32.83 (about 33)
