Message: Decided to get out of town today and head up to the snow country for a bit of stream fishing. I had a bit of trouble finding the turn off for my favorite spot which was down a rutted dirt road. Normally, I can stay on top of the ruts but there was about 8-10" of crusted snow. As I climb over the snow bank I was headed down the hill and the snow got deeper and deeper. At the bottom I saw a lifted 80's toyota and a lifted K5 with monster mudders both stuck pretty good. They waved me back but it was too late. I tried to back up but just couldnt get traction. I went forward and before I know it I was going nowhere. I looked at my front and rear tires and they both were spinning freely but I was stuck. the snow was so icy, I was suspended by my undercariage with none of my wheel even touching the ground. Long story short, it took all three of us about an hour to get out. I hate that stuff.
p.s.-its like nails on a chalk borad when you can hear and feel your drive shaft spinning in icy snow.
