I wouldn't recomend it. I tried putting an electric fan on my 5.2 dakota and there was not enough air moved to keep it cool. Stay with the Mechanical fan unless you have a 3.9 the V-8's generate too much heat for an electric fan to handle.

i have the 318 v8 and i need a elec. fan becuse of my 3" boby lift, i started out with a fan that i got at a scap yard and that worked well, but now i went with the "black majic" fan from flex lite and it works great.

Yea, I am getting the black magic one... That's why I was asking. And I do have a 3.9. Anyways about cooling better, I thought the elec fan does cool better?
