Message: hey just a heads up about the alignment. Go to firestone for a one time fee of $105 I think, it's right around that, you can get a lifetime alignment that is good for as long as you own the truck and you can take it in as many times as you want to align it I took my old truck in every 2000 miles to get it aligned not hat it needed it but just in case.
since those alignemtn fees can add up

here's the link

I asked the guy about it and he said the only problem he has encountered so far is with the transmission shifting since he still has the stock 3.55s but he's gonna switch the gear soon enough.

Message: Knobby, thanks for the direct link to Glassworks finished page for our Daks. Those fenders are pretty awesome looking for $400, you could probably fit bigger tires in the front than would fit in the back with those suckers bolted on, LOL. I would like to see the entire truck with those on as it seems like you would need flares that matched in the back to not look odd. With the factory bumper on, the bulge looks strange from the front view, but with the custom fabbed prerunner bumper it definately looks sweet. I would have to go with custom bumper to get the look I wanted, so I guess by that time I would be well over $1K with fenders painted and custom bumper fabbed, see now the suspension lift doesn't look so bad @ $2K:) It really looks like more of a 2WD prerunner appearance/functionality mode to me anyway although it may look cool on a 4WD with the right(expensive) set-up.
PS- Anymore updates on Group-Buy/Initial pricing on the kit, I am hoping it is a little more reasonable so I could use my truck as the Upstate NY Posterchild for Warranty Voiding:) Who would we be dealing with anyway if we buy one, a factory rep, salesman, etc? Thanks!

Message: If anyone cares, I just talked to a guy at Big O Tires in Mesa, AZ who quoted me a price of $1750, plus $800 installation for the above named susp. lift. He has a buddy at Chassis Tech that looked it up in the computer there. Apparently, there is another price in the computer of $1350 for said lift. Haven't found out what the 2 prices represent. Maybe wholesale/retail??? He is supposed to call me back when he finds out. Says kit will only be available to dealers in the near future. If/When I find out more, I will update here.

again, his name is Lenny. He says he can get the 6½ lift from Chassis Tech for $1350, plus $800 to install. The kit includes everything including shocks. Lenny says he can get a pkg deal to include wheels and tires also. I'm pretty sure they are not going to sell the lift to individuals, but everyone has their price!!! Hope this helps. If anyone is thinking of doing this in the East Valley area, plz e-mail me and maybe we can get a better deal for two. Thanks.

Message: hey Cadet Dak, just wanted you to know that Dak. on 38s use to be my truck, and I had 4.56 gears in the rear only because I was going to do a straight axle in the front end, but needed a truck with 4-doors as my kids are getting too big for cc. I took out the 4.56s and put stock gears in to sell the truck you must have talked to the current owner.By the way with the 4.56s the truck ran better than OE with 31s.

Message: Ok .. I'm calling in like a hour.. but what I know for sure right now..
When will the lift be available?
It is available but they are putting together a complete kit so that you don't have to buy anything else.. so the kit will include Front lift, Shackles & hanger for the rear, and Shocks all around.
GB pricing?
I asked about before but the answer I got was that there wasn't going to be any.. BELIEVE ME I need a better price also. So we'll see what happens.
Pictures of the lift..
I'll see if they can e-mail me some and I'll post them.

Message: Awesome! Thanks guys for getting us info. I, for one, am super-excited about getting my truck up in the air. Of course, I'm not too excited about throwing my warranty out the window but right now, getting the lift is outweighing the warranty. ;-) Hope it stays that way after I get the details I need to make a the decision. ;)
Thanks again,

Message: You guys will like the sound of this..
They have a 4,6 & 9" lift. No Group Buy prices but the prices did change.. for the full kit including front suspension, rear suspension, shocks (Monro or DeuchTech) and free install at one of there shops the kits are 4" = 1195, 6" = 1295 and 9" = 1395. Shipping from California to here in Texas is $210 so you guys can figure from there..
The Front is Drop Down Brackets and a New Torque Bar (I don't know all the details but I should be getting a e-mail with ALL the information soon). The rear for the 4" is Spring Hangers, 6 & 9" is Hangers & Schackles.
I think I covered everything but let me know if you have any more questions..

Message: What about drive-line angles, will the u-joints take a beating with the 9 inch lift?
Also how long (about) will the install take with an appointment, see I'm from Detroit and I would have to take time off work, drive down and rent a motel while this take place. I was just curious.
Does the lift have a warranty?
Doing this lift, what part of the warranty will this void if not all? (factory)
Sorry for all the questions.

Message: Ok in regards to voiding the warrenty here's how it works.
According to the magnuson morrison act I think that's how it's spelled. When you make after market modifications on your vehicle the only parts that the warrenty voids are those parts which you replaced.
For example you can't get warrenty coverage on an aftermarket driveshaft. Other then that the only way a manufactuor can deny warrenty coverage is if they can prove that the modificatin caused the malfunction (which can be difficult for them). i.e. they can't deny coverage on your stereo because you put a suspension lift on the truck.
hope all this helps
I just dealt with this with my old truck when the gears went bad.

Could you post that email you received regarding the suspension lift for 2000+ dakotas? I had asked about whether we needed driveline extensions and any other details you'd be able to offer us regarding the 4 and 6" lifts. Which company name do I look under regarding the free installation at [their] install shops?
Thanks bud,
