Subject: Rancho Lift? IP: Logged
Message: A few months ago I attended the State Fair of Texas. At the Dodge display they had a 00'QC with what appeared to be a rancho lift. The other day I finally got my pictures developed and their it was, a rancho lift on a Dakota with rack and pinion steering. I have seen this truck before in a magazine. Is there a reason why this lift isn't available yet? Is there a problem that they have to work out? The truck is riding on Pro Comp 33 inch Mud Terrains, so I expect with a three inch body lift, you could put on a set of 35's.

Message: I have a 3 inch body lift on my 01 quad with 33 12.50 mtr's and they rub if you crank the wheel hard left or right and hit a bump. I also cranked the torsion bars up to help a bit. Even with trimming the fender well plastic it still rubs. I have 15x10 rims. I e-mailed rancho and they replied saying the lift would come out this spring. I am very pleased with the body lift, my only gripe is at dodge for making a 4x4 with such squared fenders that you can't go with larger tires. I mean, look at how much space there is on the rams. Also am I the only one who thinks the front suspension system looks really wimpy for a 4x? I still love my quad and know that once I get it lifted no ram will even compare with how it will look, I am just dissappointed that it's gonna cost an arm and a leg to do it.
