Message: What would be an avail. size tire in a Michelin LTX A/T if I were to lift my 01' Dakota Quad Cab? May I lift it only 1.5" or to make any visible difference would it take 2"? Can this be a Body Lift or must it be Suspension? I would love to give the truck a more "beafed-up" look but I DO NOT want to compromise the integrity of it's performance on the highway. What should I expect to invest in the lift??

Message: I RAISED MY 4x4 WITH A 3" BODY LIFT. I'M RUNNIN' 33x12.50 MUDDERS ON THE STOCK WHEELS, WITH NO RUBS. I COULDN'T TELL ANY DIFFERENCE IN HANDLING OR RIDE ON THE HIGHWAY. MY KIT WAS $475, INSTALLED BY A PROFESSIONAL TRUCK SHOP. IT REALLY DIDN'T CHANGE THE LOOK OF THE TRUCK MUCH. I WAS ACTUALLY HOPING FOR MORE.

Message: Tirerack lists the biggest Michelin LTX A/T (for a 15 inch rim) at 31x10.5-15. Pirelli Scorpion A/T at 32x11.5-15 is another really good tire. As good as the LTX except for wear, but a lot cheaper. Check out tirerack.com and follow their Q+A tire fitting guide if you need more info.
