Message: Where the hell is that Lions back?! Those photos look like they're from a car commercial! That looks like a lot of fun though, and damn it looks like you're hard on trucks.

Message: Cool Pics, if you bounced in your seat while straddlin that rock, you rocker would have hit it looked so close:) Did you see that home video of a full size blazer that lost its brakes while going down the Lions Back? It was intense, the girl(yes girl) did a good job of keepin it fairly centered at over 60mph till they got over 3/4 of the way down when the truck was bouncing and jumping too much to control and they shot off the right side from about 20-25 feet high. Nosed truck right upto the winshield, amazingly the husband and wife survived with no serious injuries, the truck didn't live though. I would have had a heart attack before crashing if I wasn't driving and that happened=:(O I am sure it doesn't happen very often there, otherwise they would probably shut it down.

Message: I am neither. I know what the truck can handle. I did that after I spent many months getting used to how the truck off-roads.
Lions Back is in Moab, Utah. I did see that one with the blazer. And to tell you the truth that is what was going through my head on the way down. Although the gearing in the 4.7 with 3.9 gears rocks. I had it in 4low and did not hit over 1200 rpms til I hit the steep part at the bottom. Which ment I did not use my breaks until the steep exit.
Just before I did this in my truck I rode passanger in a Mercedes Unimog to get a feel on how to drive it. Well the Unimog makes everything feel easy and small. Twards the top I had to take a differnt line cuz it was to difficult for the much smaller dak.
And yes I did not hit. I did not know I was that close to hitting. My bro. was on the outside spotting me. I wish I had a pic of me when I looked at the pics after I developed them. Would have been priceless.
The other 2 are on Posion spider trail in Moab, Utah. There is One really hard spot that I had to try a few times before getting up. But otherwise walked right up all obsticals. The pic of me almost hitting is not the hardes spot which I just spoke of.
The dak is very capable off road.
