I have a 92 Dakota it has a 3 speed auto with overdrive. It hesetates when shifting from first to second and form second to third. Also when it is cold it won't shift out of first. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Check fluid, try flushing it, or it may be a servo.

My 92 used to do that also, I had water in my kickdown cable so when you go to push the gas in the morning the pedal would not move, once it did move it could go past redline in first and would not shift, I eventually broke my kickdown cable ($80.00 CDN).
