Message: Hiya Opie,
Heh, my Drill Instructors at Paris Island used to call me that. :)
As far as the bolt pattern on a '00, I think it is 6 on 4.5. At least that is what it is on the '98's, and I dont think they changed it.

Message: Yes, the bolt pattern is 6 on 4.5. I also believe the stock backspacing is 3.75. When I was looking for wheels you were pretty limited with the bolt pattern and really limited if you are staying with the stock backspacing.

Message: Thanks for the info, also has anyone installed the AR-767 on a dakota? If so did you use the stock backspacing, or did you have to change it.

Message: I use 3.25" backspacing on my 2000 dak. I have 33's on it. They are the A/E 589's. 6x4.5.

Message: THE STANDARD 2000 15"X8" DAK RIMS ARE 6 ON 4.50". THE FACTORY BACK SPACING IS 5.50". HAVE TO BE CAREFUL, THE SMALLER THE BACK SPACING THE MORE "RUB" PROBLEMS ARE CREATED. WHEN TURNING, THE SMALLER BACK SPACING PUSHES THE TIRE OUT INTO THE FENDER WELL.

Message: Does anybody know if a 15X8 inch rim with 3-3/4" back spacing will fit a 2001 Dakota 2wd. With either 245 or 255/60R15s. ALso how much would it stick out the fender and would it rub any.

Message: My 99 Dakota has 235/15 on the factory wheels, and there is so much open space in the wheel wells that it looks like I could fit ANY sane tire/wheel combo in there. I wouldnt think the combo you mentioned would stick out at all.
I have some 295/15 Wranglers on 15" wheels from a Bronco II that I plan to put on. Looks like there should be plenty of room. Havent checked the backspacing though.
