We need some details though. How much / what kind of lift, tire size, gear ratio, etc. What color is the actual truck?? ;-)

Ok, she is a 98 Sport ClubCab. 318, 5 speed. There is a total of 8.5 inches of lift. 3" body, and 5.5 suspension. Those are 36x12.5 R15 SuperSwamper TSL's. Its been a while since I had the lift put on, but if I remember correctly all told it was about $2500 for both lifts, parts and labor. The suspension lift is a TuffCountry EZRide, and the body is also TuffCountry. Oh, the truck is black underneith all that mud. Its just been WAY too clold down Here in Jackson, MS to wash her off. :)
Believe it or not, but I am running the stock axles and ratios @ 3.55. Tractec Tracloc LSD in the rear, open front. But I am looking to drop in a 360, and rip out the IFS up front and put in a Dana 60.
Anything I miss?

Message: Nice truck. Have you had any problems with the axles/transfer case? How is the IFS holding up?

Message: What did Hanson do to get the bumper to fit flush since you have the body lift. Plan on getting a new bumper myself but that has been my 1 concern.

Message: 97 Dak - No real problems with the driveline. Only thing is I do have a 'chain jangle' comming off of the front output on the transfercase. It goes away once you lock in 4wheel drive. Cant figger it out. So far the IFS is hanging in there. Did have to replace the ball joints on both sides. Oh, and the bearings blew on both sides. Didnt catch the first on in time and had to replace a bunch of stuff in there. Stupid DC, ya cant service just the bearings, you have to replace the entire steering knuckle. $$$
Hawkeye - The mounts for the bumper had 2 sets of bolt holes set, you got it, 3 inches above/below each other. When I put the lift on, just moved the whole thing up. Only prob was when whinching, the bumper would rotate a bit in the mounting slots as there was a ton of adjustment room in em. A welder fixed that. And it has been thourly stress tested. On the ride from those pics, we had a really bad stuck. A 85 Ram was sunk to the frame smack in the middle of the hole. It took 3 hours and 3 trucks to get him out. On one try, we had me winching on him thru 2(two) snatch blocks with a truch tied off to me for my anchor. Me and the anchor truck were still pulled toward the stuck. Tell me that is not a ton of pressure on the bumper and mounts. Didnt move an inch.

Message: Extrm,
Ive had it a while, so Im not completely sure, but I think all told plus shipping from CA to MS it was around 1200ish.
What is it about suspension lifts that bugs ya? Just courious. Ive had zero probs with the lift itself. Just a bit of wear on things like bearings and ball joints, but that is to be expected with 100,000 miles. That and the Goat is my daily driver, even with the 36in SuperSwampers, unless I am on the bike.

Message: Actually Hero, I WANT a suspension lift and would like to be able to fit 36 inchers underneath my Dak with no rubbing. In my last post I said that I wanted my truck to sit like yours so the hairs on the back of my neck are with excitement , not fear, LOL. I Have owned two other trucks(S10 Blazer and S10 P/U) with Body lifts and suspension lifts that I installed myself so I know exactly what you are talking about, parts just wear a little sooner and the bigger tires can put a strain on the drivetrain which can be reduced by changing gearing to axles, mods to engine and tranny shift kits. Now if someone can only make a suspension lift for these rack-n-pinion Daks and a Shift kit for the 45rfe...
