Subject: Need a lift? IP: Logged
Message: I've been going through the forums for about two hours now looking for an answer. I own a 2001 4x4
V8 4.7L. I installed 1" blocks in the back just for fun and raised the torsion bars to even it out. I dont have the $ for a suspension lift and i am about to purchase some mud terrains. My question is, can I fit 33" tires onto my stock 16" rims and not have a problem with rubbing? I dont off road like crazy but occasionally when It does rain i will find some mud. I've had the goodyear 265 70 R16's on since i bought the truck. I just wanta to know if the 33"s will fit without rubbing and do those 1" blocks in the back make a difference or should i wait to shell out $250 for a body lift then get the 33"s?
Thank you,
Mr. Bob

Message: If you go in the mud even once in awhile go with the body lift. Unless you're going to run 9" wide tires you're gonna have problems.

Message: $190 for the body lift if you install it your self and you'll be ok to put on 33x12.5x15's
Slight rubbing .. but nothing to be worried about.
