 Subject: largest tire for a stock '95 Dak 4x4

what is the largest tire that will fit in the wheelwell of a '95 Dakota 4x4 (stock suspension)...I've heard 30x9.50 from some guys and 31x10.5 from others.........anyone got either of these on a stock Dakota?.....comments please!

i've got 31x10.5's on my 88 i think that the wheel wells have the same size oppenings. all i did to fit these way crank the torsion bars up about 2 in or so. depending on how you go at it you might have just a little rubbing on the fender flares (if you have them), you can solve that by just cutting off a little bit. the only rubbing that i have is on the frame when the tires are at full turn, but its only a little and doesnt affect the turning radius.

Three years ago I installed Kelly Safari AWR's (50k warranty) 31x10.5's on the stock wheels of my 95 4x4 ext cab. The rub on the on the passenger side frame is so minor, the only way I knew it was when I saw a very small shiny spot on the frame. This in no way affected the drivability. These tires are not too aggressive, have served me well for hunting and fishing trips, and have been rated in the top three by Consumer Reports for the last two years.
Now, when I put them on 15x8 589 Eagle Alloys with 3" backspacing to get ready for a Trailmaster suspension lift, they rubbed the air dam AND ESPECIALLY the rear part of the fender. I immediately installed a 2" body lift, trimmed the air dam AND cranked the torsion bars. The suspension lift install is waiting for my garage to be completed. THEN I will post it.
Backspacing is key as the wheel openings are not big enough on these trucks. Hope this helps.

I have a 93 club cab with 99 dak/durango aluminum 15x8 wheels. 30x9.50-15 all terrains rub slighty on rear of inner fender in front but only with some suspension flex.

I have a 95 Dakota V8 ext cab on my stock rims sthere are 31 10.50 Coursers by mastercraft(good tires) and on my summer rims (American racing wheels) I have Fato(Argentinian made)31 10.50s
So yes they fit but only V8 4x4's They have a little more lift and space due to increased weight of V8. I am putting a 2in Lift on the body and the tires I bought are 33s and they'll fit according to the tire place near me.
