Subject: Need 2000 Truck For Lift Install
IP: Logged

Message:
Dakota USA needs a Test Truck for a 2000 + suspension lift kit install. They will need the truck in AZ. I am working out the details but it looks like the truck we use will get a free lift. I have to call the guy back later today. They want to know also what you guys want. I we ask for it they can build it. they said they can do 4-9" lifts and could have it done in a month. They want to be the first to release the kit for the New Dakotas So here is your chance to be the first to have a 2000+ lifted Dakota. This is first come first serve so the first to respond will get first cance at the deal.

6" susp lift worked well on my F150. That's about how much lift I'll be shooting for. Then the body lift can go. Arizona is too far of a stretch for me though.

What company are you talking to Chris? Fly-N-Hi Offroad?

I would like to see an 6" lift for the stock 2000 and up. Then you can run 33" tires with out worrying about rubbing. Or a 3-4" lift for people like me that went out and and got the 3" body lift.
Where and when in AZ? I'm in Southern California

It's about time someone steps up to the plate to release a lift for the dakotas. A 6" or 7" lift would be great. I would also get a body lift so I could run 35" tires. Let us know when you get more info. Thanks.

Fellas, I would be real skeptical of this. The only issue with lifting a 2000+ 4x4 Dak is the steering. The rest of the lift would be the same. Rancho and the rest of the reputable lift makers out there haven't done this yet. I'm sure it is for a good reason.

Now, where I really question this is... if this company is good enough to make such a product (and big enough to stand behind it and not be out of business overnight) WHY do they need to beg people for a test truck? You don't see Rancho out there asking people for a truck to test their new products on. Also, if they don't have a truck yet, how can they have a lift? If they don't have the lift yet, you really think they will make one in 15 to 20 days? If they could, don't you think Rnacho would have done this already?

Nonetheless, I'm not going to buy something that was built on a budget in 15 to 20 days... that none of the big boys haven't done yet.

Rancho, Tuff Country, Superlift all DO ask for test trucks. Thats how they make the ifts. They dont go out and buy a brand new truck to do it. Its how every lft is made. You just don't hear about it quite as often...

I disagree...

Part of their R&D is acquiring vehicles. Plus, too much design, development and testing is needed to just 'borrow' someones vehicle for two weeks.

This sounds like a load of crap to me.

Ok guys we have a test truck on the west coast. We will see if they can get us a lift. Tey claim to be able to do it in 2-3 weeks They said the they did it the same way on their chevy lifts. They make all of their own products so that might help so by mid to late Jan we should have a lift for you guys. I will keep everyone updated and supply as many photos of the process as I can. I am also trying to arange a special intro price for you guys on the first batch of the kits.

Will they offer a lift for the 97-99's? The lift is about the same except for the steering. If they would we could do one huge group buy for 97-99 and 00-02 lift kits. I am interested if they do, if not I'm gonna get the Rancho.

Heh Well Skeletor I can tell you it wasn't me... lol and I just changed my oil & filled my truck up I was going to drive out there yesterday to drop it off. My guess would be that "RizeAbuv" got the job. Anyway all I can tell you guys is... I'm starting to save up some $$

1. 6" Suspension lift ~ $1200
2. Install of Lift ~ $800
3. Re-gearing front & rear difs ~ $800
4. New Beadlocker wheels ~ 5x$200
5. New Tires ~ 5x$150
6. Nerf Bars ~ $320

Yes.. you can get different prices but that's what I came up with I'm sure I'm forgetting something but I can't remember right now.

OH!! Warrente Dodge has to in writing say why the suspension lift caused the problem w/ your parts in order to not do warentee work. Check some of the older posts and you should find more details of this. I have to run to breakfast.. Later all. WHOOO HOOO!!! a 6" lift... WHOOOO HOOO!!! *lets all hope for Rancho RSX shocks now ;-)

This company is also known as AIM and ChassisTech. Both AIM and ChassisTech make junk lifts and sell them cheap. The whole truckinsuspension is just an offspring of AIM and ChassisTech. I wouldn't install ANYTHING they make on my truck even it were free. Watch out for these products when they make it to dealers. If they are as bad as the rest of the AIM products are BEWARE!
