Message: They are doing a "flip kit" for the rear .. I'm not sure what that is I'm hoping that someone can help me on that term.

Message: Porkchop: adjuster the torsion bar fits in, the part where you crank the adjuster bolts (shaped like a porkchop)
flip kit is to put the rear leaf spring on top of the axle. The durangos 4x4's and Dakota and Durango 2wd trucks have the springs under the axle so putting it on top gives at least 4" of lift. Won't help us 4x4 Dakotas though unless you want to lower your truck 4" then you can flip it to below the axle.

Message: Porckchop LOL, never heard them called that. They are gonna have to use tapered lift blocks with add-a-leafs or re-arched springs to get that kinda lift in the rear since our axles are already underneath the springs. Wondering how the Tuff Country lift raises the back of 97-99's which are also axle-under? They will likely use the same rear set-up as the TC lift since that is unchanged. Many trucks are over so it's cheaper to lift the back by flipping and using a small tapered block to keep driveline angle within acceptable limits.

Message: TC uses a 2" add-a-leaf and a 2" or 3" block to level off the rear.

Message: Robert they probably already had the design or idea down and just needed to bring a Dakota in for the fitting. Also it's been more like 4 weeks since they had the truck but according to them they started on it 01/01/02 so it would have been about 3 weeks.
4wDakota thanks for the information on that terminology.

Message: BTW I was incorrect. They don't have a pork-chop lift for the 2000+ dakotas. They do how ever .. just today when I was on the phone w/ them they are finishing the true suspension lift. He quoted me $1,700 for the front suspension.. Steep yes but Chris should be able to get us a good deal he's already looking into it. I can't wait to see pictures of the parts.

Message: Whoops.. sorry forgot that one detail. It's actually a adjustable lift in the front from 4"-6.5" the rear you can't adjust. You have to get the leaves the correct height. I don't know what those increments are.

Message: Well as everyone knows this is incorrect.. it's not a adjustable lift.. I just re-found this post using google so I figured I'd correct my self now rather then later.
Truckin Suspension makes lifts in 4.5", 6.5" and 9.5"
