On your site, pic gallery 1, the upper right picture of the drivers side (trk%20007.jpg)
Is that with a 3" body lift? ? ?
Sometimes I'd swear you 2wd guys have smaller frames than us 4wds. The body lifts never show as much.
Thanks,
Corey

Message: If you already have 4wd:
To do the straight axle conversion with springs you are looking around $3000 and to do it with king coil over shocks about $5000 as seen on the dakota project...
to do the 4wd conversion you would have to call us because then it becomes a custom job you decide what transfer case and transmission you would want to go and we would have to see if and what items you would need.

Message: this may sound like a dumb questions but to someone who doesn't know very much... like me.. well I need to learn.. cause I want a straight axel.
My question is.. once you do that conversion to straight axel.. do you still have the ability to do the shift on the fly to 4x4 from within the cab? Or is it like the old way where you have to get out and lock the wheels into 4x4 individually?
just curious.. I'm trying to picture in my head how it works so if someone want to explain it to me I'd appreciate it.
thanks Bill

-What were the measurements of your new axles, WMS to WMS as opposed to the stock rear end
I'm a member here, just cant remember my password 'cause i havent been here in so long. I think i spend too much time on www.pirate4x4.com. There are some amazing fabricators on those forums.

Message: Hey guys. Im still a little confused and was wondering if ya could answer some questions. First, say i put in Dana 44 in the front and rear. Would THIS provide me with the lift? Or would i just have solid axles that are ABLE to lift to the sky? If this is so then what lift would you install if i bought just two Dana 44 axles. Thanks for all your help. Take it easy

Message: Yo Fitz,
When you do a lift like this, with all solid axles, you totally remove all the stock suspension ei. a arms, coils, steering, etc.
So you are starting over from scratch. Most people take a set of custom leaf springs on the front and rear and have shackles fabed for them to hook to the frame. So you ge the lift from the springs you use. All the regular dodge susp stuff if defunct. You can get springs lifted 6ins or 20 inches. All in what you wanna do.
Its a totally custom set up. Thats why its so expensive. Then the steering is to be dealt with. Maybe an older 4x4s steering system can be installed. But our rack and pinion wont work. Again, all custom stuff. Good luck if your gonna do this. Expect it to be nondrivable for a month or so to do it right.
Later friend,
Joe E.

Message: Thanks Joe. Sorry i didnt understand it the first time but its clear now. Thanks. Again, just an idea. But two days ago all my buddies were driving doiwn a hill into a mudhole at our school and i got stuck. It took so many trucks out there to pull me out. So maybe i might consider the 4 wheel drive conversion Maxtire does. But of course if I did that i'd do the solid axle swap. THanks again Joe.
