1. It looks better than an s10 with a body lift

2. Performance?? It allows a little larger tire

3. No problems to report just yet

4. No, it does not look like you have a suspension lift

5. The frame is exposed 3 more inches ... but still doesn't seem to show like it does on other trucks

Good luck!

Same here! (everything Blizzard said). I would look at some of the rides on this board if you want to see how it looks. I think they look much better than other (chevy, ford) trucks with body lifts.

I also agree with everything the above said. I have put body lifts on two Rangers and a BroncoII and although the outcome of those body lifts were pleasing, I like how the Dak looks a lot more than the others looked.
It sits noticeably higher and with bigger rims and tires, just makes the whole truck look "mean". A VERY worth while investment. You will not be dissapointed.
I am sure most all will agree with me on that. "Right guys"?

You are correct Sir! I have installed body lifts on s-10's, ranger's and full size chevy's. The lift on my Dak looks better than the best of them, especially with the rubber covers that hide the gap you see in the wheel wells, almost looks factory. Frame is not obviously exposed much at all.The only thing that is still at stock height is my hitch receiver.

why would you want a body lift? in my opinion its a waste of money and who cares how your truck looks, its the performance that matters, so if your going to get a lift get a suspension lift.

like davage said there isnt an option besides most of us just want to run 33s anyway 35s are a bit big unless your fortworth cause you just want to look down on people lol

my 170$ worth for the bodylift

davage, i know what tallquad(heat and bend) and torque(plate thingy) and someone said they didnt do anything with the manual, i was just wondering if you have installed the body lift what did you do??

I have been lifting my rigs (and buddies) for over 10 years now. And here is my honest opinion on the body lift in general. If you do not have the money to go the suspension route and you can't wait until you do than a body lift is what you do. However, there are some real cons in my opinion when lifting the body off a vehicle.

1. No matter what people say you are lifting the body of the vehicle 1-3" off the frame. So there is no getting around it. The frame will be much more noticable. And unless you buy something to hide the frame, you can stare through your truck. And if you do buy something to cover it, your frame looks abnormally big.

2. Things are attached to the frame. In general, Bumpers, trailer hitches, radiator, shift linkages, transmission, transfer case, and depending on the vehicle the tub or floor pan. This part of the lift can be a nightmare. I don't know if the Dak tub is one piece. But when tubs are two piece the stinkin seats and firewall behind the pedals can require lifting. All of this stuff has to be moved up because it looks stupid or it just plain won't work if you don't. Let's say your truck is a manual and you don't lift the trans and t-case. Your stick shift just shrunk by 3" inches. Let's say you have a trailer hitch on your rig. Imagine that thing 3" inches lower than it is right now. Unless you have it re-welded, the hitch sags low. Basically unless you pay a real pro or you have the ability to do it right. The truck could look like hell.

The one real upside of a body lift is this: The only true way to lift a rig and retain the nice smooth stock ride characteristics is a body lift. I have lifted many rigs. I've even done a Suburban. The Body lift in my opinion is one of the hardest to do right.

But, it all comes down to money. If you can't afford the suspension lift than you can't. Sorry for the length, hoped it helped. Just keep this in mind when your out wheelin your rig. The suspension is still stock!!!!! Guys seem to forget this when they have big tires and new shocks.
