Message: Does anyone know of a company that makes aftermarket bumpers for Dakota's? I'm looking for something stronger than fatory and a built in 2in receiver would be nice, but I'm sure they cost more than I want to spend. Any info would be great.

As for non-prerunner styles, a few of us have been looking around with out much luck. Try getting a hold of a bumper manufacturer like Trail Ready, aka Road Armor, or any local welding/fab shop -- they could probably do a custom job if you don't mind paying $500-$2,000. Knobbyman is currently talking with a shop down in his neck of the woods, and I'm sure he'll keep the Off-Road board up to date on his status.
In the meantime, read through this thread:

Message: I have to call them today to see if they got the material in yet. But the cost before they looked @ the current cost of the material is about $300 unfinished and w/o the holes for my reverse lights. I'm going to have them measure where the lights and licance plate are supost to go and them I'm going to have my dad cut it @ work w/ a plasma tourch which will save me somewhere around $150 because other wise I have to take it to a laser cutting place and that's there shop price.
Anyway .... I'm looking @ spending about $600 for the completed bumper because I have to have it finished.. I think I'm going to go w/ Rhino liner to cover the whole bumper. That way I don't have to worry about small branches or what ever scratching the finish. But I'll let you guys know after I talk to them today.

Message: Thanks for the info. I was checking out http://www.hansonenterprise.com and the rear bumper on that Ram looks great! I would love to have one like that for my Dakota, but I'm sure it would be pricey. I also like the looks of those pre-runner rear bumpers w/receiver. Maybe I'll have to fire up the welder and tubing bender and get creative. If I go that route, I'll let ya'll know how it turns out. Thanks again.
