I am looking for a lift kit for my 1998 dakota 2wd. I have looked at the fabtech 3" kit but I herd it will only work with wheels that have a maximum back spacing of 3 3/4" my wheels have a 4 1/2" back spacing. Does any one know if the chassie tech kit is the same way or of any other place that makes a lift for my application? I was thinking of doing a body lift as well but I have herd alot of bad things about body lifts. Can any one tell me about there experiences with them and some of the problems they might have had with body lifts on the generation three dakotas?

I have both the body lift AND the Fabtech kit. The body lift works great, most of the time I forget it's on! The Fabtech lift I just put on so I'm still getting use to it, but all together I am running 33's with fender trimming. You WILL need new rims but I didn't mind since I was getting new ones anyway.
