Subject: Wagoneer straight axle

Message:
Does any body know about putting a jeep wagoneer straight axle under a dodge dakota. I have a wagoneer and the pumpkin is on the correct side and it is has automatic locking hubs so it will hook right up. Ohh by the way i have an 89 4 wheel drive dakota. I have acess to the entire jeep. I have found alot of information on straight axle conversions for old bronco front ends but i can't find any old bronco axles. All the sights with bronco axles use coil springs but the jeep has leaf springs and there is no advice for the leaf springs. Any information will be of help. Thank you

Take a look at this web site. They Place F250 axles with leaf springs on a 99 Dak.

i've actually been contemplating a solid axle swap on my '94... it's a club cab, 4x4, with the 318 V8 and a plow, so the solid will definitely help... and also lifting ifs sucks! lol =) i checked out that website, and it helped... any other info. anyone has would be appreciated too, thanks, and happy wheelin!
