Message: ya have been so great to me even though i'm not a member, and i thank ya(guys like knobbyman, Hawkeye, etc.) so much!! and i need ya's help again, so please help me out.
i've been helping this young lady out with her dakota and she made a comment that got me thinking. she stated "i wish my truck looked like yours." i have a lifted 1998 ext. cab sport model with the 3.9L engine and her's is a 1995 std. cab sport model with the 3.9L engine. so, here's the question. dose the 95' model have body mounts in the same place as the 98' model. or how hard would it be to put the GenIII body on the GenII chassis? i know this is a far fetch idea, but ya have never failed me before. if ya have no idea if this would work or not, please lead me in the right direction. but then again i understand if there is no response. once again thank you all for everything you guys have helped out with! to all of ya, have a nice day.

Message: first, i've gotta give it up to the ambition... all the best of luck to you! second, when she said she wants hers to look like yours, did she mean the body style or just the fact that yours is lifted?

Message: I have a 93 and a 2002 Dak. the frames on them are both different. The body mounts are in different places. this is only a problem if you want to do an easy body swap. It's amazing what a person can do with a MIG welder and some metal fabrication tools. Of course it all depends on how much time and money you want to spend. I say it's easier to sell her truck and buy a used Gen3 Dak. I know this is on a much smaller scale but I managed to put Yamaha 660R Raptor ATV Body parts on my Yamaha 350 Warrior ATV. It took a little cutting and welding. Now my Warrior looks like a Raptor.
