 Subject: tow hooks?

i want to add a set of tow hooks front and back an my 93 long bed 4x4 dakota. the rear are simple to figure out but the front is not squared up in front. how/where would i bolt these on in front? could i use the welded on cross member thats welded about 3-6" in from the front of the frame rails? i dont mind if i have to remove the front lower plastic gaurd.

I've been waiting for factory aftermarket tow hooks for over a year for my 2000 SLT, which is B.S. There should be a law against manufacturing a 4x4 without hooks!! --Will
