Subject: 3 inch body lift IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 v6 3.9 dakota 2wd and i want it to look bigger. I was wondering if there is a "best kind" of body lift out there I should get. I also want to put BFG 32 inch A/T tires on after i get the lift. Do yall think this is a good idea and if so where should I get one and how much would it cost. Thanks,
Rusty

Message: I have a 3" lift from Performance Accessories and it looks awesome. I did it myself... The only bi*ch is raising the bumpers and making them look good. I took my sweet a$$ time with that one. It cost about $150 and I have a 4x4... It costs the same for 4x2. A 4x2 lift is a little easier too cause you dont have to extend ur shifter, unless you have a manual. Anyways... get bigger tires if ya want, but I'd make sure you have a good ratio in the rear. Otherwise, your gonna be pissed about your acceleration. I dont know if you care about that as much but I'm just sayin. Especially with a V6. I have a V6 with 33" swampers on, but with some engine mods and a 3.92 ratio which im changin to 4.10. Just my 2 cents good luck

Message: ALSO... Bigger tires are gonna throw your spedometer off a bit... Just have to realize that and compensate while driving... I was just pulled over 2 nights ago for goin 46 in a 35 and the needle was only readin 43, 44... Stupid me wasnt thinkin
