Subject: Leveling kit for 01 Dak?? IP: Logged
Message: Whats up guys
Does anyone know of a leveling kit out there that would bring my front end up matching it with the rear. I'm pretty skeptical about cranking the torsion bars, don't want to screw up the ride. Thanks

Message: I posted the same question earlier:
Is there something out there that will bring up the front end of the truck to match the rear end? As much as I would love to lift my truck alltogether, raising the front end a little would suffice for now. It doesn't need a alot of lift, I've already cranked the torsion bars but it seems to have dropped a little over time. Any clues?
Since this post I went and measuerd and the difference between front and back is about 2.5 inches, this is after the bars where cranked a while back. If i can get something to lift it about 1.75-2.00 inches id be happy. Im going to call around this week i think.
Thanks

Message: The front is noticably lower than the rear, about 2 inches I'd say. The front tires actually rub my fender when I turn the wheel at a certain degree. Do you think I should crank the torsion bars an inch or maybe 1.5?

Message: Before I went to put on Pirelli Scorpion AT 265/75/16 (32")
tires I decided to crank up the Torsion Bars an inch or so.
I always thought my truck looked too low in the front, and I think
I also had about 2-3" of difference, front to rear.
Using the measurement technique in my shop manual, I determined
that my torsion bars were set so that my front suspension was 1.25"
out of spec (too low). I cranked them up 1.5" (still in spec).
This did not effect the ride quality at all.

Message: You have that much difference in ride height?
Mine was pretty level when I bought it (02 Club Cab) but I cranked the bars just under an inch and I measure to the center of the wheel arches and its level...
Maybe your bars are sagging or it was just set way low to begin with?
