Message: Not sure if you can get 2 full inches out of the bars. If you did then I would imagine that the ride quality would be pretty rough. I know that 32's fill fit on the fact 15x7 rims with no lift. With the 2 inch lift on 8 inch wide rims they would look really good. My 33's with the 3 inch lift rub the very bottom back corner of the bumper when turning sometimes but not too bad.

Message: I have a '93 dakota extended cab and i was wondering what would be the best and cheapest way to fit 33's. Should i go with a suspension lift or would it fit under a two inch body lift?
Thanks for you help.

Message: Why don't you guys go with the 3" body lift, it's only like $20 bucks more (or something) and you won't have to worry about clearance problems. I think that's the best solution.

Message: I have a 97 Dakota with a two inch body lift and im running 285 75 16 and everything worked out great. The 285's are 1/2 inch taller then the regular 33" tires too. In fact I had more rubbing when I had 32" tires when I turned lock to lock. So yes a 2 inch lift will allow you to run 33's. The only trimming I did was on the plastic on the inside of the fender wells. Othere then that its all good!

Message: With the 8" stock rims I have 31X10.5X15 KO's. Rub slightly when turning left, but not right. Not enough to bind, just a little annoying. As far as clearance. I have torsion bars cranked 1.5" and it roughens up the ride a little, but not bad. Just remember that you'll also have to raise the rear or you'll be going up hill. I have and added leaf and it sits level. 33X10.5's should be fine with a 2" body lift. They will rub the inside a little. Fender clearance will be OK. 33X12.5's, I would get a rim with more backspacing.

Message: I'm not being a smart @$$ but is there any particular reason you don't wan't to try a suspension lift? I see that some guys on here are in a position where a good suspension lift is not available but Jon Hall's 98 has plenty of options for good suspension lifts. I understand if money is the main concern. (with a wife, kid and mortgage payment I can assure you I understand all about tight money situations) I saved up gradually until I could afford the suspension lift and tires I wanted and for the type of wheel'n I do I am glad I have the suspension lift. I will also be putting on a bodylift too so that I can fit 38's but that's a little down the road for me.
My point is, if you can afford the suspension lift and IF it's available for your truck, it is definately worth the investment. At least it has been for me.
Just my 2 cents.

Message: Well I think you be looking at a 33x10.5 Tire when you compare a 285x 75’s like mine. Lets see my tires are Radial ATR’s I believe there made by Pathfinder. I even had these tires before my lift. I had to do a little triming but hell they worked out great.

Message: All right. How much were your tires a piece? Or could i get a 33x10.5 cheaper? I've decided to get a 3" body lift and put either one of these sets of tires on 15x8 american racing 589's. My truck is geared 3.55 do you think my truck will pull the tires good if i have a V6.

Message: neel, im runnin 31x10.50s BFG ATs on my 87 4x4. there is no body lift, but i have the torsion bars cranked up 2"s up front. the height between the ground and the fender lip is about the same between the front and back.
i trimmed the rear of the front fender a very little bit to make everythin fit. the tires are mounted on 15x8" rims with a 5" back spacing. it looks really good and there is no rubbing.
check her out.
