Subject: Limited Slip Question IP: Logged
Message: ok, I was climbing down a hill and got mildly stuck with my rear passenger tire spinning wildly. I looked back at my driver's side tire, and it wasn't spinning or moving at all. My impression of limited slip was that it gave more power to the tire that had traction. anyone got an idea what happened?

Message: Well there are other issues if you got stuck going down hill. But it does give you more power to the tire will more traction to a point. If the tire has to much friction it will not spin and your free wheel will spin. In that case only a locker will help.

Message: hey dont be trashin. It wasn't like the hills that you go down. my skid plate was holding up my rear end on a big rock with ditches on either side. I just put it in 4WD and got on down. but enough with the hate, what kind of lockers does anyone recommend? I hate the prices, but they might be useful in the future. Also, what kind of axles does my truck have? its a '01 4x4 4.7L
