Message: I just put a Trailmaster 4" suspension lift on my Gen II (93 Dakota Sport, standard cab, 4x4). As far as I know, and I did quite a bit of research before I lifted it, Trailmaster is the only company that makes a suspension lift for the Gen II Dak. The lift isn't exactly cheap and it does require the use of aftermarket rims.

Message: I installed it on my ’88 Dakota. Click the image of my Dakota below and see the photos of the installation. I also had scanned the installation instructions from Trailmaster into a .PDF document. You can download it on my site as well. NOTE: This is a large file 6.04MB in size and will take some time to download.

Message: I have a '92 dakota and I have the same problems. It seems hard to find info. or parts for them. Does Tuff Country make a lift for them, and is it worth it?

Message:
The only suspension lift available for 91-96 Dakotas in the 4” TrailMaster kit. I’ll cost you about $2000 to install it. You should be able to find the kit for around $1200-$1300 plus new rims. The kit requires replacing the stock rims with aftermarket with more offset. Then the cost of installation. It’s not an easy install and should be done by someone with experience. If you’re not familiar with installing a suspension in a vehicle, a professional probably should do it. It requires cutting a frame cross member out and replacing it with a new one included in the kit. If you want to look at the directions, they are on my pages.

Message: I have a 93 4x4 with 5.2 and auto. Most of the parts I see for daks are for 97 and up. Its frustrating when searching for parts.
