 Subject: 98+ Transfercase to 97 Dakota

Hi everyone. I currently have a 97 Dakota 5.2 4wd. It has the NP231 and I want to change over to a NP242. Problem it that none of the NP242 which are 98 or newer have a speedo unit. Does anyone know how to mod the wiring to still work the speedo off the ABS sender like the 98+ trucks and not trip out the PCM. I know I could use one out of a Jeep but then have to have a drive-line built as they are shorter and in my area that runs over $200 which is out of my budget.
