To extract the broken bolt, you will need what is called an 'easy out'. You can buy a set relatively cheap from the tool section at Sears. They kinda look like a 'cone shaped' drill bit. You will have to use a standard drill bit to drill a hole in the center of the broken off bolt. The hole needs to be large enough for one of the easy-outs to fit into (about half way to get a good bite). Drilling all the way through the bolt is fine too. Bigger is better with these easy outs, as they have been known to break if you use the smaller ones on larger bolts. You will notice on the easy out the 'threads' attempt to screw, or bite into the bolt the same direction that the bolt unscrews.

You may get lucky and find the bolt spins as you attempt to drill the hole! I've had that happen before.

Good luck!
