Subject: `96 (and older) Suspension lift IP: Logged
Message: Doing some surfing looking for a skid plate for mine (Trailmaster says they no longer make it) and I come across this site listing the only kit out there for $1,673.38 and free shipping. That, boys and girls, is probably as cheap you will find one for the old Dakotas. Bear in mind you will also need aftermarket wheels with less backspacing (only 3.5" vice the stock 5.5"). Just here to help. Cheers!

Message: That seems to be correct in all aspects bill, cause i paid close to 1800.00 for the lift and that was quite a while back,so that is a damm good price!! and the backspacing on my rims are 3.75 and i had to crank the torsion bars all the way up to clear the tiny wheel wells on the gen II truck, just to comfortably fit the 32s, although the swamper 32 is the same size as the bfg 33, it looks like i've got alot of room but when your off the road you'd be surprised how much room you need to keep the tire from rubbing.

| Lift needed to clear bigger tires... IP: Logged
Message: Amen Brother(!) on the amount of lift needed to clear bigger tires offroad...I did manage to get a bit of extra room by installing the Glassworks fiberglass fenders. They expose more wheel well, but gave me another inch or two at the rear of the opening. With the fenders, suspension lift and 2" body lift, I am comfortably clearing BFG 33x10.5s.

Message: I have a Trailmaster 4x4 Suspension lift kit for 91-96 Dodge dakota i'm looking to get rid of pretty cheap. Never installed, just been sitting in the garage. Box deteriorated so i threw it out but have the kit in a rubbermaid tub. Everything is accounted for and in great shape. like i said, just been sitting in the garage. have installation instructions. even original trailmaster sticker. Have a dakota but decided to move up to full size and never got around to doing anything with this lift kit. Can save someone a good deal of money if their looking for this kit as its pretty expensive new. If you know of anyone who might be interested please email me at fisherofmen2010@hotmail.com. I'm located in San Antonio, Tx. But i'm willing to ship. will probably be placing on ebay pretty soon.
Thanks,
Andy
