hey there i got a 1997 dakota 3.9L auto and the transfer case is bucked and i have called around to the junk yards cant find any close by was wondering what other years of t cases would work i was offerd a 1991 tcase out of a dakota wondering if this will work in my 97 thanks

but anyways, im not sure but i would call dodge and c what they say because we have 97's and thats the first year for the body style, durangos didnt come out till 98 so who knows what parts will fit the 97's all my mirrors and decals are all ram...

im not sure what year they took the vacuum switch off the t-Case,
but i know the 90 and 95 had different output spline counts
so yeah, you did the right thing by not jsut grabbing the first one you could
some people will tell you they are allt he same, they arent

the 95 had a larger diameter shafting in a few places on it too

1990 sport RC SB, 1995 318drivetrain, 3.92 gears (came with truck) Powertrax "traction system", 95 dash/steering wheel, hearthrob exhaust, headers, cutout after y-pipe, necessary electric fan add-a-leafs, 30x9.5 mud tires, cranked T-bars, AR 39 15x8 rims, grill guard, roll bars
