New member, 96 sport 4wd 3.9l manual trans. Bought of ebay a year ago with 75k miles. Had to replace water pump and radiator, but otherwise seems like a good truck. I use as daily driver, but do a litte off road driving also. I was going through a mudhole/puddle the other day and drank some bog water, hammered some rod bearings. I got a remanufacted engine on the way and would like to get off to a good start. I've seen posts about using 180 deg. tstat, and 8.5 mm wires, guess I'll do new clutch also. I can see air intake has to go higher than headlight, so need to rig a snorkel and get bigger tires/lift. Don't want to go way overboard just a notch or two above stock. Which is better bang for the buck a suspension or body lift ? Any advice ? Thanks.

Well gmam435, since no one seems to offer up anything.....here it is.Go bodylift...best bang for the buck, roughly 2 or 3 bills compared to 2 g's for suspension.Plus you can do the body lift easily yourself.
