Subject: 32"x12.50" ? IP: Logged
Message: I want to know if some 32x12.50's will fit on my 97 dakota? I am planning on getting some 15x10 rims to mount the tires on. I have no lifts on here and really don't have the money at the time to get any. I had some 32x11.50's on the stock 15x8 rims on my past 97 and they rubbed the frame with the wheels fully cranked. Because of that I decided to go with the 15x10's probably with a negative off-set. Does anyone know if they will rub somewhere or possibly cause parts to wear out quickly? If you could give me any info I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Message: I would just about garauntee that they will rub on the back bottom edge of the front bumper. Not sure if they would rub on the back side of the fenderwell or not. A 10 inch wide rim will really spread a 12.50 out. Anything more than an 11.50 is going to rub without a lift I'm afraid.

Message: What if I put a 31"x12.50" instead? Think they would still rub?

Message: I am running 32"x 11.50" BFG A/T's and they don't rub. I think that a 12.5" tire is too wide. Go for the 32 x 11.5, they look good and perform well.

Message: I had 32x12.5 on my 99 Dakota with a 15x10 rim.
they rubbed hard on the front bumper and rubbed lightly on the rear. I also had 31x12.5 they rubbed in the same place. it is the 12.5 i think that makes it rub. i have since switched to a 32x11.5 on the 15x 10in rim I have had no rubbing and also no problems with them. I think this is the way to go.

Message: Thanks for the info guys. I suppose I will just go with some 32"x11.50"s till I get some sort of lift.
