When I get my plasma cutter back from my brother I am going to start on a winch bumper. Do you guys have links to pics of bumpers you liked?

The wincher from kennesaw mountain accessories. They are based here in Georgia

http://www.kenmtn.com/html/wincher.asp

A couple things I'd do differently.

I'd have the light guards have the smaller wires to protect it better and not just the loop around the entire headlight.

Also add some mount points for aux lighting on top of the bumper.

I also like the rear bumper on the back on the black dakota on the bottom right here

I like the integrated lights, i added a set of driving lights under the bumper of my dakota for backing up at night and hooking up trailers in the dark.

it's like the road armor bumpers

There are pictures of dakota's on that site.

just do some internet searches and you'll find some companies that make aftermarket winch bumpers. You won't find as many dakota/durago specific as other manufactures because the support is not as great.

arb, warn, reunel, trail ready, ramsey, etc

look for jeeps, there's a ton of aftermarket bumpers for wranglers - you'll get plenty of ideas.

Hix, i would use some photos for ideas then create your own one of a kind, put your own personal twist a decent design, one day when life slows down i will make my own as well but i want it to look one off, i dont want a guy in a dakota next to me at a street light with the same bumper, you know ?

That's the plan. I usually keep most of my bumpers high and tight to the fender/grill line with the winch up high in front of the grill old school style to maximize ground clearance. But the sheer amount of radiator that protrudes what seems like feet below the bottom of the grill has me scratching my head on how to keep it looking clean without having a monsterous boat anchor of a bumper

I know exactly what you mean, the few times i got motivated enough to think about tackling the front bumper, those same thoughts came to mind, its not as easy a task as someone might think, and i'm usually towing a trailer so i want as much air flowing through the radiator as possible, especially since i am running an electric fan, designing it starts to frustrate me then i put it on the back-burner.

You could always go baja style and put the radiator in the bed. It just all depends what your using your truck for.

Nah, it's gotta stay streetable. I'll figure it out. Anyone near denver need a front receiver hitch? I dont need the one on this truck. It's free, but I'm not gonna ship it or anything. Too much of a pain in the ass
