 Subject: AWD Malfunction

My V8 Dodge Dakota is AWD at all times, now it is only driveable in 4Hi or 4Lo. When in AWD and put in gear, a grinding noise comes from up under the truck(front passenger).It is not operatable in drive or reverse. Can you tell me whats wrong my truck?

Sounds like one of three, transfer case or front diff or front drive shaft spun. A AWD wont move unless in 4hi/4lo when you have that trouble.
