im intersested in getting a whinch for my 2000 dakota and was curious if any of you have installed the
Warn Winch Mount - 9.5si 9.5ti - Black. there is a picture of it online at

but i cant tell if its the whole brush gaurd or what. if any of you can point me in the right direction it would be awsome.

you should definitely check out www.kenmtn.com. they make a custom dakota "wincher" front bumper. i just ordered it. kinda pricey, but damn solid construction. lots of accessories too. check 'em out.

Too bad you got an electric winch, they all suck big time. Mile marker hydraulic is much more reliable and can run all day without overheating and ruining your synthetic rope.

LINE is what it is. Get used to it.
A bumper winch isn't big enough to take one turn of the size that qualifies as rope.

Line – What mere mortals call ‘rope’, the sailor calls ‘line.’ Small line is called by the number of threads it’s made up of (e.g. 9-thread line); larger line is sized by its circumference (rather than diameter). Traditionally, the PORKCHOP buys a spool of rope, but as soon as you cut a piece off of the spool to use it, it is called ‘line.’
