Subject: Cb radio installation IP: Logged
Message: I will be installing a cb on my 2000 quad cab 4x4 and was wondering if anyone had any tips to as of where i should run the coaxial. I do not really want to drill any holes and was wondering if there was any way around drilling.

Message: i mounted my cb under the radio and ran the coaxial under the 4X4 floor console and under my seat and out the back slider window.. i have a regular cab tho... but it should be the same.... my friend ran his under his seat and up the door jam since he doesn't have a slider rear window.

Message: Check for a rubber plug under the carpet in your truck you can run it through there or drill a hole in the floor and put a rubber wire bushing around it to prevent moisture.

Message: There was a hole behind the rear seat on the driver side. You will have to take the seat out and pull the carpet up to get to it. After you run the cable through the hole put a rubber wire brushing around it. Its really easy to do just a little time consuming.
