 Subject: solid axle swap

I've got a 98 dak 4x4. I need to swap out the rear because the posi went south and took the rest of the rear with it. I was wondering how hard would it be to put a solid axle in the front while i'm putting in a new rear. I was wondering if a dana 30/35 combo out of a xj zj jeep would work. Is the width the same as my dak?? I know that the 30/35 is not the strongest. there upgrades for them, plus I'm only looking to run 33" max on the tires.
Any input wiuold be great,
