Subject: suspension lift options for a 98? IP: Logged
Message: i already have a 2" PA body lift on my '98, and i want to put a suspension lift on now, but i dont want an additional 5.5" that tuff country offers. the smallest i can find is a 4" made by trailmaster. and the 3" kits i have found only fit '00-'02. will 6"-7" over stock make my 33's look funny? i dont really want to buy bigger tires.... mainly because i would probably have to regear if i wanted any useful amount of torque. what do you think?

Message: Rancho 3in is probably the nicest of the lifts available for the 3rd gen daks, its what I've got on my 99 4x4. Go to gorancho.com the part # is: RS6560. There are a couple of different shock options that they will ask you to choose from.
Trailmasters kit will not fit your Dakota, it will only fit 91-96 2nd gen Daks.
I don't think that the 33s will look too bad maybee just a little too small but not excessive.
