Message: Some one out there has to have put a posi in the front of their Dakota.
Any body got any ideas?
All I have been able to find out is that the diff carrier will fit into the housing but I still don't know how to get my c-clip axle shafts to stay in place in a non c-clip Trac-Lock.

Message: Kid,
Sounds like a great tech question for one of the 4 wheel / off-road mags. You can even make a little $scratch$ if you do this right. Submit your question to the various mags, 4Wheeler, Off-Road, Peterson's 4Wheel, etc., then during the lag for it to get printed bet a few friends/ family members $10-$20 each that you could be a published writer if you wanted. If a window needs to be set, give yourelf 6 mo's to a yr (I had one take 8 to get published). Sit back and wait for the rag to come out, then start collecting the cash...did it myself. High schoolers (my kids) were fair game too. HA

Message: I found out i was mistaken about what held the axleshafts in the differential on the front axle of my truck. The axle has E-clips not C-clips so different spider gears are not required. Which means i will have a free posi in my front diff in the next couple weeks. Will also be going to 4.56 gears to offset the damage done to the power of my 318 by the 33in tires.

Message: Putting a limited slip differential in the front is gonna make you wish you hadn't, especially in low-traction situations.

Message: ???
Low traction situations that i get into are because of mud not snow or ice and having all four wheels turning really helps getting out of ruts in the mud.
