Message: i need to know how the truck engages the front axle is it with a vacume actuator or a central disconnect.

Message: Its both. It has a vacuum actuator operating the central axle disconntect.
If it has stopped disconnecting like it should check the vacuum lines that go past the exhaust manifold on the passenger side of the engine. On mine they hit the manofold and melted through both of the lines while i was out on the beach one day. It was no fun steering on hard gorund with the front end lincoln locked.
