15x8 inch rims will fit, or you could probably fit 15x10 also.If you dont have any sort of lift, your tires will probably rub on your frame with stock wheel back spacing (which is 5.5inches I think).
You should increase your backspacing to 4-4.5 inches if you can.
All this is just guess work since I have no year to go by, is it lifted, 4x4?

Just my thoughts.

im going to put a 2 inch body lift on a 96 4x4 and get 32x11.5x15 but didnt know how wide to go for the rims, so would 8 work with no problems or?

Yes, they would fit but you should go with a little more backspacing or else they could rub your frame.I think 8 inch is factory.

Good luck

15x8 rim size is factory, but 5.5 backspacing is factory.
You should try to go with 4 inches of back spacing on your rims.
Just trying to clear that up a little better.

How about a 33x12.5" tire? Would 15x10 be a better choice then 15x8 wheel?
