I have heard about changing the lead spring orientation so that they are placed under the axle and reversing the U-bolts, this is done to lift the rear end. Is this something that can be done with the Dakota 2 X 4 ? If so, are there any draw backs?

im not sure if you mean leaf springs or not, but on dakota's the leaf springs are spring over already. therefore if you put them under the axle, it would lower the truck about 4 or so inches. i think that durangos come spring under though. not sure if that is what you meant.
thanks,
corey coad
