Eddie check out barnwell mountian offroad park. I am VP of a truck club here in Houston (www.str-offroad.org). We make monthly trips to parks all over Texas and so far Barnwell has been my favorite. Be careful on some of those trails the long wheelbase of the Dakota really hangs ya up. I use my Dak mainly for towing purposes, my trail rig is a samurai thats midly modified

I hear ya, sadly alot of places that are legal and have decent trails close by. I have traveled as far as 7 hours just 1 way to find a good park with posted maintained trails. Really its best to make a weekend out of it and camp while your there so the drive is more worthwhile.
