seems that the awd feature in my 2001 dakota has stopped working??? im thinking im stuck in awd, i put it in 4x4lo,4x4h,awd.....all the same. no difference at all...fuses are ok,and i have power at the fuse block and the relays...i have no power going down to the 4x4 acuator on the transfer case...so im thinking it is the 4x4 modulator up under the dash or the switch its self.......problem is for the life of me i cannot get to either one!!! any help would be greatly apreciated....thanks...

MY bro had this problem & he told me the dealer replaced a solenoid.
On my '99 I have the manual floor shifter, so I'm immune to those electrical problems. F*rd & Chebby seem to have similar electrical problems with their electronic shifting gear boxes.
Might be better off going to the junk yard & get a gearbox with the shifter & the other related parts - might have to cut a hole in the floor board.
