Subject: specs IP: Logged
Message: i have looked but i cant findout what my rear end size is because i would like to get a limited slip or posi for my rear end.... i have a 2004 sxt 4x4 ex-cab.... can anyone hook me up?.... i would just go to a dealer but that is hard to do when i am currently in iraq... so any help would be great.. thanks

Message: I believe in 2004 all rears are 8 1/2, and all fronts are 205mm.

Message: Never heard of an 8 1/2. Gen III trucks came with 8 1/4 and 9 1/4 rear axles. I'm quite sure you've got the bigger 9 1/4. If I remember correctly, 4X4's only came standard with the 8 1/4 in '97.

Message: Have you checked out 4wheelparts.com they have an excellent drivetrain search enging. here is the link: http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/ORS/
Just choose Dodge - Chrysler and enter your specs. They give you all the specs, and even show you a picture of it to make sure your choosing the right one. they give you all the options you have for gears, install kits, and differentials.
Their prices are pretty good to!
