Subject: Bernd! Fabtech?? IP: Logged
Message: Hey Bernd,
I'm ordering a 2002 QC 4x2 with the 3.92 rearend and 4.7. I want to add the Fabtech lift kit and a 3" body kit. My question is, how hard are both to install? I have installed lifts before (mainly jeeps) so I do have some knowledge of what I'm doing. I have heard both can be a pain in the butt, so I thought you might be able to give me a few pointers! Should I have a shop deal with it or can it be done at home?
Thanks for your help (or anybody else, too)!!

Message: Save yourself some money and do the body lift yourself. Not hard at all. Would have cost me $300 just to get mine installed. Thats more than the lift cost. As for the susp lift, have to ask Bernd about that one. Dont know how hard their 2wd kit is. I normally say let a shop do susp lift's because they can do if faster with them having a lift rack, air tools, etc. Also easier for them to get it to an alignment shop right when they get done. Just my $.02. Well maybe $.03.

Message: Do the kit yourself. Just remember to put the washers in the ball joint bolts. It won't work without it. It has two washerss per ball joint. It's an easy kit to install. Greg
