Subject: The always annoying body lift question

Message:
Okay we all know how bodylifts go into our trucks so i'll spare you guys from having to tell me, my question is where to find a 3" body lift for my Gen 2 Dakota, I can find 2" all day; but a few of you guys have the 3" kit. I have the 5.2L V8 and already know about the lower raditator hose hitting the fan problem but electric fan will fix that problem for sure. Anyways any help from you guys is always appreciated from me.

Trailmaster makes a 3" body lift for Gen II's. From what I hear it is a more complete kit in comparison to Performance Accessories' 2".

Thanx bucket u always help me out..., I read another post about the stearing shaft, it gets streched to the limit??? You said you have shorty headers and I plan to eventually get some. But for now my stearing shaft should fit right?

Yeah from what i remember when i did my bodylift i wondered how much more stretch my steering shaft had in it so i took it off to check and it had about 1/2 inch left, but the shaft was about a sixteenth of an inch from my "jba"shorty headers,(you know the one pipe that has that funny looking loop in it)so i didnt want any rubbing so i made my own,its a little stiffer steering but works,if you dont have headers or i should say if you dont have the shorty headers Paul you should be fine. This weekend i think i will try and take some closer looking detailed pics and show you what i got,it might help you decide on the type of headers to get down the road.
