Dose any one have a front mount receiver hitch on their truck? I have a 1994 4x4 cc with the 318 and I wanted to mount one on the front but I cant find one.

alot of companies make them. Do a google search for dakota hitch front you'll find plenty.
I don't have one, but many are made by reputable vendors.

I too would like to know who makes one for the Gen IIs. I have yet to see an advertisement for us. I was contemplating buying one for a Gen III and attempting to "make it fit", but haven't bothered to compare measurements between the two vehicles. I don't know off hand if there is much difference in the frame or if it would easily fit.
One way about this would be to find a local hitch dealer that would be willing to order one (for a Gen III) and allow you to hold it up in there to see if it would actually fit (bolt on or be mod'd). And if it didn't, that he would not charge you a restock fee.
Another way would be if there is someone out there that owns a Gen III that is going to put a front hitch mount on theirs that Also knows a friend owning a Gen II, that is willing to size it up prior to installing it on their own? They could post what they find on here.

I would hope that it would come out in the center of the air dam. Minimizing its profile while providing a much needed strong hold up front to pull from.

I purchased a front "Hidden Hitch" receiver for a '97- '99 Dakota and narrowed it up to fit my '92. Looks like if you have a body lift you can flip it upside down and fit it up higher yet. I can't take the credit for this idea. I first saw this idea on the front of a well known Gen I Dakota owner.
